Detailed itinerary:

Day 1: Discover Unique Local Culture

  • 11:00 AM: Pick-up at the meeting point in Pù Luông and transfer to the ancient stilt house for check-in and luggage drop-off.
  • 12:00 PM: Enjoy lunch on a bamboo raft, swim in the Cham stream, try bamboo rafting, and relax on the raft.
  • 2:00 PM: Explore the Surprising Cave of Pù Luông.
  • 3:00 PM: Return to the ancient stilt house by ox cart – a fun and unique experience.
  • 5:00 PM: Participate in cultural activities at the house: rice husking, grain pounding, brocade weaving, rice wine brewing, smoking pipe tobacco, and playing traditional folk games. Learn the traditional Thai dance, enjoy a communal jar of local wine, and have dinner at the ancient house.
  • 8:00 PM: Overnight stay at the ancient stilt house in Pù Luông.

Day 2: Become a True Local Farmer

  • 8:00 AM: Breakfast with coffee and fresh fruits.
  • 9:00 AM: Visit the Đoàn Market (ethnic minority market) or the traditional brocade weaving village in Lặn Ngoài to shop for souvenirs.
  • 10:00 AM: Visit the giant water wheels – the iconic symbol of Pù Luông.
  • 12:00 PM: Transfer back to your accommodation in Pù Luông or to the suspension bridge to catch the limousine back to Hanoi.

  • The 9 to 12 kilometer for hiking or biking is not recommended for the elderly.
  • Disabled people and children under 6 years old should not participate in this excursion.
  • Vegetarian and dietary options available upon request
  • Homestay accommodation is basic and amenities are simple.
  • Bring your swimsuit, towel, hat, trekking shoes, sunglasses, sunscreen and insect repellent
  • Bring cash in local currency (Vietnamese dong) as the banking system in Pu Luong is not always reliable. US dollars, euros and Australian dollars are accepted.
  • It is really hard to find a pharmacy in Pu Luong, you must bring your medication with you.
